No, these sixth graders aren't coffee baristas in training! These sixth grade students are studying microbiomes and a question "How can having 100 trillion microorganisms on and inside our body keep us healthy?" The petri dishes are being used to be able to watch microorganisms grow to then see with their own eyes.

District Meal Program Meal changes
We are pleased to inform you the Winchester CUSD #1 will continue participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the current school year.
What does this mean for you and your children attending Winchester Schools? Great news for you and your students! All enrolled students of Winchester CUSD #1 are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch as school at no charge.
All students who would like seconds (Ala carte) on breakfast or lunch, they may purchase those items for a small cost. Main entree = $1.00, side item = $.50 and milk = $.30. Student will be required to have funds in their account to purchase extras. All deposits can be made in the school offices.
Salad bar will be offered for 4th grade thru 12th grade only. That will start on Monday, August 25th.
