WGS Track Team 2015
CONGRATULATIONS...
To the WGS Track Team on their accomplished season. - Great Job!!
The Winchester Boy's Jr High Track team had another successful season. There were 10 participants that made it to the state track meet; 2 relays and 4 individual events. One athlete was ranked top 10 and the two more were both ranked top 5 in their respective events, going into the state track meet. After a string of bad luck, which involved a serious muscle injury and several lightning delays, only one boy placed in the top 8. Aaron Brown received 6th place in the 100 M Dash. Cole Howard improved heavily upon his ranking and finished 10th, just two places away from reaching the podium and a medal. The Winchester track team was an inspiration to me at the state meet; we were one of the biggest groups there - boys and girls together - and we hardly have a track to practice on. Our athletes always persevere past the disadvantages and always make us proud.
