Welcome to Third Grade!
Mrs. Sichting’s Class
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to Third Grade at Winchester Elementary School. My name is Amber Sichting and I am your child’s teacher this year. This is my seventh year teaching. I taught first grade for 6 years, and very excited to start new journey in third grade! I know this year will be full of fun and exciting learning experiences for both the children and me!
*Helpful hint on how to pronounce my last name: C (the letter name) + sting=csting
Throughout the year the children will be working toward several goals, such as growing as an individual emotionally, academically, and socially, becoming a responsible member in our classroom community, and being respectful and accepting of differences and similarities. I believe that parents and guardians play a crucial role in helping children develop in these areas and I look forward to working with each of you to help your child learn and grow in the way that suits them best. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call, e-mail, or send a letter.
Also, in order to maintain a safe classroom environment, please inform me and the school office of any allergies your child may have. Many times there are children with allergies to certain foods or items that are commonly sent to school. If there are any such allergies, I will inform you in writing so that we can all work together to keep everyone safe and healthy!
