FRIENDSHIPS!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE THEY IMPORTANT?

BY BRITTANY EHLENEBECK

I think that they are very important to have so you have someone to tell your secrets to, and someone you can trust no matter what. You might get in fight but you will always have them. I asked some people if they thought that they were important. Here's what they said.

Ryan Thompson said "œYes they are important. Because you need them to have fun with, so you can help each other, to have parties, and do stupid things with and get it on video".

Kristy Clayton said "œYes they are important.".  She didn't really say why.

Brooke Bartmann said "Yes because if people didn't have friends or anyone in fact they could become very depressed and feel lonely for the rest of their lives. With friendships you always have someone there for you when you need someone to talk to".

Mrs. Niffen said "œYes, if you don'™t have friends you are lonely when you want someone to talk to."

If you have friendships don't let them go, because you might just have the best friends and have them for the rest of your life.

April is Autism Awareness month!! Autism is a general term for a group of many disorders of brain development. Studies show that autism is 4 to 5 times more common among boys than girls. 1 out of 42 boys and 1 in 189 girls are diagnosed with autism in the United States. Many people tend to avoid those with autism, because they have no clue how to react to them.  If the child doesn’t respond to their name by the age of 12 months old, there’s a sign the child is autistic.

Those with autism have difficulties in:

  • Social events
  • Tend to flap their hands
  • Rock back and forth/ spin in circles
  • Have unusual reactions to the sound of many things, smell, taste, looks, and the feelings of objects
  • Prefers to play along
  •  Doesn’t understand personal space boundaries
  • Avoids physical contact with others
  • Sensors when someone is stressed or unhappy, and react to it.

The puzzle pieces raised $20 for the Autistic research.

Why do people look up to others?

Many people look up to others not just because the books they write, the role in a movie they play in, but because of the inspiration they see in them. We see these people as role models because we want to be just like them and become something just like the person we look up to.

Brittnany Elenbeck looks up to her Uncle because even though he fought through his kidney failure he stayed strong and lived through it, until he passed away in 2013 of a heart attack. Even though he is in a better place now, she still looks up to him because she wants to be strong just like he was.

Kaylie Horrer looks up to Tim Burton, American film director, producer, artist, writer, and poet and stop motion artistShe looks up to him she likes how he has a very creative mind. She likes all of the movies he has produced, and directed.
