Jamie Daws, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Hi! I'm Mrs. Daws.

Welcome to another exciting school year! A little about me:

  • I've been an SLP for 15 years.
  • Outside of school, I recently began providing Early Intervention for children ages 0-3.
  • I have a husband (Justin), two sons (Jack & Jett), and dog (Lilly) and cat (Kiki) all at home
  • In my free time I like to work on projects around the house, shop, and vacation

As the speech-language pathologist, SLP, speech therapist, or even "speech teacher" as many here call me, it is my role to work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, and cognitive-communication disorders in children.

You've got questions, I've got answers. Not sure if your student still comes to speech? Can't remember what they are working on or how often they attend? I can provide you with another copy of their IEP (Individualized Educational Plan) that has all the information you are looking for. If you would like to know what day/time they attend, please ask and know that it could always change as new students come on and others "graduate" from speech.

In speech class the students and I work hard and have fun! Occasionally I send resources home to practice as well. Working with and reminding your child to practice using good speech and language skills at home will further improve their abilities! I will be happy to send home resource packets upon request, and there are many websites with great materials that you can print at home. Check out some of my favorite sources for materials (many are free!): teacherspayteachers.com, pinterest.com, mommyspeechtherapy.com, speechroomnews.com.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments. I check email regularly. jdaws@winchesterschools.net ; 742-9551, ext. 352
