COVID school closure
Good Morning Everyone -
We have a confirmed positive case that involves one of our schools. Scott County DPH is working on contact tracing. Unfortunately, this is going to have a major impact on our district schools. In consultation with Scott County officials and the school administrators, we are going to CLOSE schools immediately. This initial closure will be for two weeks - students may return on Tuesday, September 8th. During the closure, the goal will be to isolate the spread of the virus within our school population. If we have no new cases during this time, we will reevaluate the closure and determine whether it would be safe to reopen on the 8th.
Monday, August 24th and Tuesday, August 25th will be a Remote Planning Day for teachers. Students will not be required to be in attendance remotely on those days. We will make plans to distribute technology devices to those in need and plan for breakfast and lunch distribution.
We have planned for this scenario all summer. We ask that you be patient with us as we make the transition to Remote Learning for All beginning Wednesday, August 26th.
Please check this page and our district web page frequently for updates.
