Summer Job Oportunity (15 years old and up)
Since normally we would announce this at the school - the Winchester Pool Board has asked us to post it on our Facebook. We are posting here also with the links.
The City of Winchester is now accepting applications for manager, assistant manager and lifeguards for the summer pool season. To print the application, please click on the link below. You can also contact City Hall and ask to have an application mailed to you. We will be accepting applications until May 1, 2020. No applications will be accepted past this date. Please include a copy of your lifeguard certificate with your application.
For anyone whose lifeguard certification will be expiring this spring, the American Red Cross is allowing for a 90 day extension of your certificate due to COVID-19. To obtain the extension, please follow the instructions below:
Go to redcross.org
Hover on Training & Certification and click on lifeguarding
You will see this - Click on the red arrow.
It will take you to this screen.
Click on the Sign Me Up for the 90 Day Certification Extension class. It will ask for a credit card, but it does not cost anything. It will take approximately 5 minutes to take. Print any certificate off, if one is available. We will need proof of your certification for employment. This extension will give you 90 days to find a class to recertify.
