August Superintendent Newsletter

Winchester CUSD #1 Monthly Newsletter

July 29, 2016.

As we turn the calendar to August that means the new school year is right around the corner.  Registration is during the first week of August and information can be found on the front page of the district website.  The school calendar and fall sports schedules are also conveniently located on the front page as well.

The WHS Auditorium stage floor has been completing renovated and looks wonderful!  Both gym floors have been cleaned and sealed this week.  The gyms are closed until August 10th.

A hearing before the Regional Board of School Trustees is scheduled for August 16th.  The purpose of the hearing is the annexation/detachment of a property in the Bluffs School District.

Our Title I grant is $94,587 for FY17.  Our Title II grant is $29,784.

Our Audit was conducted on July 13th & 14th and went well.

Mr. Stumpf & I met with CTS Group recently.  CTS is a performance contracting group who have completed a study of WGS.  I have invited them to the August Board Meeting to discuss a HVAC renovation project at WGS.
