Ryan Thompson What the freshmen need to know By: Brittany Ehlenbeck There are a lot of stairs to climb every day. You can go off campus for lunch or stay at school or there is free lunch Mondays. There is only one bathroom for guys and girls. Lockers are on third floor. There are a lot of nice teachers if you stay on their good side. You will have fun in high school, as long as you follow the rules. Your planner with be your life saver. You will be able to write what you have for homework. Don’t forget to always have a pen or a pencil some teachers don’t loan them out and others do. The stairs are on either end of the hallways on the first floor, second floor, and third floor. They are a pain to walk up and down. Lunch is the best part of the day because you can talk and hang out with friends. Lockers you can either have them locked of the can be unlocked. Some people think it’s easier and time consuming, but you will have to take the chances that someone may get into your locker.

Budget Cuts Editorial: This year at WHS we have barely enough staff to keep watch over all our students, yet at the same time the board and Superintendent are attempting to make budget cuts which will remove some of the facility staff. By doing this they remove teachers and/or necessities to keep the school running efficiently. Due to the budget cuts the students will either lose some of the classes that students may choose to take. My opinion on this matter is that we should make the budget cuts only where absolutely necessary. Teachers and Lunch staff should not be taken out of the budget or “Laid off”. The school runs just fine without the cuts to begin with so I don’t see why they should happen. Another part about the cuts that I think should be brought up is what’s the money that will get saved by cutting staff out of the budget going to be used for. I think that the students who have to come to school should decide whether or not someone is cut out of the budget not just the board of education and Superintendent. by Ryan Thompson Ryan Thompson
I created a poll this week, I asked the students at WHS weather or not leggings/yoga pants/ pajama pants should be banned. Two people voted yes and 9 students said no they should not be banned. -By Brooke Bartmann
